ICL Extra! relates to  our services that are not direct Door-to-Door FCL movements. 

Extra! in that we offer the only LCL service that is owned and operated by a shipping line. This gives our customer's the benefits of Control, Speed, Reliability, and Value.

Extra! in that we offer handling of cargo that is not typically, or cannot be, containerized such as overlength, overwidth or overheight. We can also handle heavy project cargo at our ports.

Extra! in that we offer Supply Chain Services (SCS) which includes warehousing distribution and fulfillment services.


The ICL Extra! Program consists of 3 distinctive categories.

Supply Chain Services:  Creating Value for Our Customers
SCS will look at your transatlantic supply chain with a view to both increasing service and stability, while creating value.
In addition we offer the following distinct services:

Warehouse Services: Storage - Order Fulfillment - Cross-docking - Bonded storage - Permitted to handle beer, wine & spirits - Packaging - Palletizing

Multi-modal Distribution: Full Truck Load (FTL) - Less than Truck Load (LTL) - Consolidation/ Deconsolidation - Flatbeds - Bulk transfer - Rail - Barge - Expedited Services

Customs Documentation: Import and Export customs clearance and Marine insurance.

Heavy Load Program which allows you to ship up to 25 tonnes in one container.

Transfer cargo which allows you to delivery by rail or road, then transfer into containers for ocean transportation.


ICL Express - Less than Container Load (LCL) services
The Fastest, Most Reliable door-to-door LCL service on the North Atlantic.

Weekly:  LCL Services between Europe/ UK/ Ireland and the USA.

Control:  ICL owns the vessels, the containers and our own berth in Antwerp, Belgium.

Speed: Fastest transit times port to door.

Reliability: Cargo that makes our cut-offs (for cargo and documentation) will be shipped on the next vessel.

VOCC:  ICL is the only Vessel Owned Common Carrier offering true LCL service.

CubeMax:  Innovative Double Floor containers to protect non-stackable cargo.

Local:  Our Regional Truck Depots offer convenience and cost savings.


ICL Exceptional:  Out of Gauge and Difficult cargo
We understand that not all cargo fits conveniently into a rectangular container.  If you have cargo that is outside the normal parameters, we will most likely be able to ship it.  Whether OverHeight - OverWeight - OverLength, Hazardous (we ship many classifications of hazardous cargo) or difficult / awkward cargo, within reason, we will find a solution to move the cargo. 

We offer specialized equipment, some exclusive to ICL that can meet most eventualities.  Flatracks, Rolltainers, and Fast Pallets which are all designed to help move difficult cargo in containers.
